Meaghan Halverson
LMHC, ATR-P, 200- RYT
Hello!
My name is Meaghan and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I also have special training in Art Therapy and have taught yoga and mindful movement classes around the Seattle community for the last 7 years. My career in counseling has focused on creative body-mind approaches to working through trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. I have worked in many different settings including refugee communities, eating disorder clinics, youth correctional facilities, domestic violence agencies, oncology settings, and in-patient psychiatric hospitals. I equally enjoy working with children, teens, adults, and elders. I actively engage in peer consultation, trainings, and personal reflection so as to provide evidence based, culturally responsive counseling with a social justice lens.

Me as Person:
I identify as a white, able-bodied, queer woman. I welcome both she/her and they/them pronouns. Prior to my life as an art therapist, I have spent time as an art teacher, film production assistant, arts administrator, bar tender, yoga teacher, forklift driver, voice over artist, and nanny. I come from a Norwegian-Irish working-class family full of grit and humor. And I have numerous unfinished art projects… because I too am still a work in progress.
